| The first is me just after the passing out parade at the Lilayi police training school, where I removed my "Bombay bowler" and replaced it with the normal cap. You can see the creases in the starched shorts & the jacket where movements in marching & rifle drill have broken the hitherto pristine condition that was there when we went on parade prior to inspection. Now you can see the wide legs on the shorts which allowed a colleague to pull our shirts taut. |
