The Tenth Taking advice of Counsel

There is no signature on this cartoon. The AMOT Index lists this as 11th out of 11 cartoons published by Fairburn on the subject of the officers of the 10th Hussars. It was published some time in 1824 and depicts the caricatured officers giving vent to their outrage in front of a lawyer, protesting at their defamation in the cartoon prints. The lawyer points out that there is nothing actionable in the cartoons and advises the officers to drop the business otherwise they will make themselves 10 times more contemptible. The cartoon is courtesy of the Brown University.
