Trumpeter in State Dress 1911

State Dress was provided for this trumpeter of the 10th Hussars especially for the Delhi Durbar of 1911. There may only have been one of these trumpeters in the regiment, dressed in a manner usually confined to the Household Cavalry. The main difference between this state coat and that worn on State occasions in Britain is that the cypher on the front is GRI for the King as Emperor of India.
