In 1921 the 18th and 19th Lancers were amalgamated to form the 19th King George’s Own Lancers. The basic design of the badge of the 18th Lancers was retained but the number 19 replaced the 18, and the word LANCERS was dropped. By this time, forage caps were worn by British officers and this badge was worn on the front of the cap.
