Lieutenant T C Harman


Lieutenant T C Harman of the 20th Hussars died as a result of injuries he received in a polo accident at Ranelagh Farm, Winkfield near Windsor. He was taken to hospital in London where he died 2 days later on 19 July 1911. It was the first polo fatality in London. He was a nephew of the well-known polo player at the time, Major A E Harman of the Queen's Bays. His promotion from second lieutenant to lieutenant was gazetted on 4 April 1911.
