World War One Medals


The medals of 7166 Private Isiah Thomas, 20th Hussars, were auctioned by Dix Noonan Webb in Nov 2015. They include the Mons Star with clasp, The British War medal and the Victory medal. Private Thomas was one of the Old Contemptibles who served in France with the regiment from 16 Aug 1914, and later in the Labour Corps. The clasp on the 1914 Mons Star reads '5th Aug - 22nd Nov 1914'.
