Regimental Guidon c1815

This yellow guidon probably dates at the same time as the other one on this page but has small differences. Again there is only the battle honour for PENINSULA but there is no number underneath. It looks as if it has been removed, perhaps because the regiment had taken other guidons out of service and not replaced them so that the numbers became meaningless. The floral wreaths etc. are the same as on the other guidon but this time the Hanoverian Horse faces away from the flag staff. Another photo of this guidon shows it on the staff which has a spearhead at the top. The other side of the flag is plain (see photo).
