The waist-belt worn with the officers' kurta was the same pattern as the pouch-belt and had this burnished rectangular clasp with a silver badge made up of a wreath surrounding the BL monogram surmounted by a numeral 2, and a King’s crown above that. The whole placed on a pair of crossed lances. An earlier pattern had the wreath surrounding a large 2 and Victorian crown above, and no lances.
