Officer’s Doublet detail 1856

The detailed close-up of a company officer’s doublet shows Victorian buttons with V and R either side of the crowned garter. The gold lace on the top of the round cuff has a wave or zig-zag pattern which remained the regimental pattern throughout the period when dress uniform was worn.
