These two examples show the green enamel centre which followed the green facings colour of the uniform worn by the 79th Cameron Highlanders. The title inscribed on the silver garter dates it after 1804 but the design is an improvement on the 1804 example. The right hand plate is most likely to be earlier than the one on the left which comes from Bonhams' website, having a smaller crown and less well crafted garter. This distinctive plate, with its raised silver rim can be seen in the portrait of Lieutenant-Colonel Philips Cameron who was killed in action in 1811.
