The Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders

Map of Sudan

Korosko can be seen at the top of this map, published in 1916. The Cameron Highlanders were posted at Korosko from Dec 1884 to October 1885 and then sailed up river to Wadi Halfa just over the Sudan border. From there they were split up and detachments posted to Sarras, Akasheh and Kosheh. They were also at Mograkeh, not shown on this map, but somewhere between Kosheh and Akasheh.
