This detail from the print by Hamilton Smith published in 1815 is the only known depiction of the Java Light Cavalry. The headdress is red with white tape in a diagonal pattern, and a silver crescent on the back. The jacket is dark blue with yellow facings and buff belts. He has overalls rather than breeches and boots, but an order issued while they were in Java states that they were issued with two jackets and two pairs of breeches.
