Armed Forces Memorial, Staffordshire

In some ways this is a very new design for a memorial and yet it still retains many of the features that were pioneered by the IWGC some 90 years ago. It is a new memorial for coping with the more personalised requirements of dealing with servicemen killed in the line of duty. It was designed by Liam O'Connor with sculptures by Ian Rank-Broadley. The figure is carving out a slight variation on the theme of remembrance: 'We Will Remember Them Today, Tomorrow and For Ever.'
