Azimullah Khan

One of Nana Sahib's closest advisers. He had been Nana Sahib's unsuccessful envoy to England to lobby for the reinstatement of his master to his titles and lands. He returned bitter and ill-disposed towards the British and was one of the prime movers behind convincing Nana Sahib to throw in his lot with the mutineers. He was the one probably responsible for the massacre at Sati Chowra, possibly without the knowledge of Nana Sahib. He was also instrumental in the ordering of the execution of women and chilren at the Bibighar.
