This picture shows the result of one of the most devastating attacks on British soldiers of the war. Commanders had ill-advisedly sent forces on the two landing transport ships, Sir Galahad and Sir Tristram, to Bluff Cove - close to Port Stanley and eminently observable from surrounding peaks. The Argentinians called in an airstrike with devastating results.
