13th Hussars

Hussars in the last 20 years of the 19th century carried their firearm (a Martini-Henry) in a leather bucket behind the right leg. This soldier is in mounted review order with white horsehair plume on the front of his busby. The caplines and braid on his tunic are yellow. His stripe is gold lace on white cloth.
