Royal Artillery

Bombadier, Walking Out Order, c1904

From a Simkin painting. The smart blue tunic with scarlet collar, yellow braid and eight brass buttons down the front is worn with close-fitting overalls. His spurs show that he is Royal Field Artillery. The peaked forge cap is almost identical to the one worn today. His coloured web belt was distinctive to the RA.
