Captain Thomas Binney, 1815


Binney entered the regiment as a Cornet in January 1808 and rose to Captain in January 1815. He wears the dark blue jacket with buff facings and silver lace and buttons. The pouchbelt is buff morocco leather with silver lace and buff silk centre stripe. The pouch on his back is of black leather but faced with a solid silver flap decorated with a gilt cypher and crown. The chains and pickers are in silver. He wears a Waterloo medal. The girdle is gold lace with crimson stripes. The cossack trousers are sky blue with silver stripe and the belts are silver laced. His shako is similar to Michael Childers' and has a sphinx badge in the middle.
