Officer c1798

The uniform at this time was similar for all the light dragoon regiments since 1789 when the 15th adopted the Tarleton helmet. They had also discarded their red shoulder wings in 1790. The red plume on the helmet was what made the regiment instantly recognisable, as well as the red facings on the shell and jacket. Another distinguishing feature was the red edging to the two garments which was unique. The sword belt has a silver Belt-plate which was only worn by officers. The crimson sash is worn high on the waist with the tassels hanging on the left side.
