Lieutenant, 1990

This photo featured on the cover of The Field in August 1990. The officer stands in front of the new guidon presented that year by Princess Alice. He wears the same uniform as Prince Michael but his pouchbelt is different. Amalgamated cavalry regiments continue to wear pouchbelts based on components of the parent regiments in different mixes. Whereas Prince Michael wears the old 11th pouchbelt, this officer wears a belt that is basically that of the old 10th but in brown leather instead of black. The chain and pickers, however, are 11th Hussar style. He has flat gilt buttons indented with the Prince of Wales feathers badge. His forage cap, under his arm is crimson.
