Rifleman, Tropical Service Dress c1922

Khaki uniform was the norm since the beginning of World War 1 and dress uniform was not worn by the Rifle regiments again. This rifleman is wearing tropical service dress with shorts and black puttees. The buttons are black and the belt is black leather with a snake clasp, presumably, in brass. The Wolseley Helmet has a black leather chin strap worn over the peak.
