The Warwickshire Regiment

Sergeants c1904

The newly introduced Broderick cap is seen here worn by all ranks below Warrant Officer. They were blue with a red patch behind the badge and red welt around the top. His unpopular head gear lasted only a few years. The sergeants stripes are in gold except for one of the band sergeants, at top right, who is a lance-sergeant with white stripes.

Two officers are seated wearing blue frock coats and forage caps, one is the CO with gold embroidered peak. Next to him is the sergeant-major with crown badge above his gold edged cuff. The other warrant officer sits the other side of the officers; he is the bandmaster and has an embroidered band badge on his sleeve. Both these WOs have gold laced collars and peaked forage caps. The sergeant-major has a different waist-belt to the others.
