The Warwickshire Regiment

Officers and Private 1905

Simkin's illustration of the uniforms of 1905 shows an officer and private in dress uniform and an officer in blue frock coat and forage cap. They all have the antelope badges on their collars and head gear. The helmets worn are for home service and show the difference in the peaks for officers and other ranks. The medals are for the South African War. Details of the central officer's tunic can be seen at Major, Review Order c1904.

The private has pointed blue cuffs instead of the plain jam-pot type worn prior to 1901. The cuff is edged in white. He has a white good conduct stripe on his left sleeve.
