Warrant Officer in Full Dress, c1980

Warrant officer as escort to the Guidon at their HQ in Lahr, West Germany. This illustration by Bryan Fosten shows the modern version of the pre-World War 1 full dress. The brass helmet was introduced around 1902 but the plume was shorter than shown here. He wears a pouchbelt that is an adaptation of a guidon belt. At this time the Royal Canadian Dragoons had been a tank regiment for 40 years.
