Training c1900

A section of the Fiji Volunteers undergoes training. Of the five men kneeling, only four have fixed bayonets which may indicate that at this stage they were not fully equipped. The officer on the right is Lieutenant Ratu Ifremi Quasiva Katini. His tunic has pockets and gilt buttons and he has a black pouchbelt with silver chains and whistle. The bugler stands next to him. On the left is a sergeant instructor from another unit.
