103rd Mahratta


Subadar, 1903


The officer here is one of the six strong party of King's Indian Orderly Officers that came to England between April and August 1903. He wears a red tunic with black collar and cuffs edged with gold lace. The aiguillettes are for his role as KIOO. The waistbelt is brown leather and his crimson sash is worn on the left shoulder as opposed to round the waist in 1910 (see Subadar 1910). His name is Subadar Ram Chandra Ras Mohitay.
