Officers in Service Dress, 1900

Although the Indian officers wear similar service dress to the British officers, is is interesting to note that their swords are of the old three bar hilt version in a black and gilt scabbard while the British have the more recent style of foliated handguard and a brown leather scabbard (see British Officers 1900).
