These photos are of the front and rear of an actual uniform worn at the same time as the accompanying contemporary photos. The drab silk cord that lies across the chest in five rows is of a lighter, warmer colour than the cloth of the tunic. The shoulder cords have a crown and pip so this could well be the tunic belonging to Lieutenant-Colonel C F Dobbie.
