Princess Diana Presenting the Guidon

On 1st December 1992 a parade was held to amalgamate the 13th/18th Hussars with the 15th/19th Hussars. Princess Diana who was the Colonel- in-Chief of the 13th/18th became the Colonel-in-Chief of the newly formed Light Dragoons. She is seen here presenting the new regimental guidon to a warrent officer. The adopted no.1 dress uniform is mostly 15th Hussars (red cap and yellow trouser stripes) but the white collar of the 13th has been retained. The officer's collar is not like the white collar worn by officers of the 13th/18th but is buff with a gold lace edge. He wears a 15th Hussar pouchbelt.
