2nd Lieutenant G W A Tailby, 1914

It was Tailby's charge against German cavalry that kicked off the 11th's war in August 1914. Unfortunately, his horse fell and threw him so it was left to Corporal Parker to lead the charge which resulted in the Germans retiring.
