Allan Mallinson




Mallinson commanded the 13th/18th from 1988 to 1991. He joined the infantry in 1969 after giving up the idea of becoming an Anglican Priest. After various postings including Germany, the Far East and Northern Ireland, he was seconded to the 13th/18th in 1975 to assist with their training for an emergency tour in Ulster. After a spell as an instructor at the Infantry School and as a Company Commander in South Armagh, He transferred permanently to the Hussars.
