| Taylor joined the 21st Hussars as 2nd Lieutenant 20th June 1890. He served in the Sudan War of 1898 and was present at the taking of Khartoum (mentioned in despatches). In 1899 he transfered to the 13th as a Captain and served in the Boer War, being present at Colenso, Spion Kop, Vaal Krantz and Pieters Hill (mentioned in despatches). This photo is a detail from a group photo of officers of the 13th in India in 1910. |
