Private in India 1909

The summer uniform for the 14th Hussar in India was all white with brass buttons and collar badges that are black with gilt parts. The yellow cap-lines are around his neck but look dark in this old photo. The shoulder straps have brass regimental 14H titles. Another photo of a corporal of the regiment in this period shows twisted gold cords on the shoulders of his white uniform. The helmet at this time was the Wolseley style white helmet with a hawk badge on the front and a brass spike on top.
