The summer uniform for the 14th Hussar in India was all white with brass buttons and collar badges that are black with gilt parts. The yellow cap-lines are around his neck but look dark in this old photo. The shoulder straps have brass regimental 14H titles. Another photo of a corporal of the regiment in this period shows twisted gold cords on the shoulders of his white uniform. The helmet at this time was the Wolseley style white helmet with a hawk badge on the front and a brass spike on top. |
