Manjil Bridge

This photo of Manjil Bridge was taken during or soon after World War One, from the Imperial War Museum collection. There are rough buildings by the side of the far end of the bridge which may be the blockhouse that was built by C Squadron between June and August 1918. It is a sturdily built bridge but the country around it looks quite featureless and must have been an unpleasant place for the 14th Hussars to be posted.
