This Baggott illustration of the action at Ramadi shows the men of the cavalry brigade lying down and the officers standing which would lead us to think that there would be more officer casualties in the 14th Hussars than two killed and one wounded. The Turks were at a disadvantage having walked into a killing ground while the brigade had time to chose their position.
