General Sir Robert Sloper KB


Robert Sloper commanded the King's Dragoon Guards through the Seven Years War in Germany. He kept the regiment in a high state of efficiency and was praised by Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick and other senior Generals. He lived in Berkshire with his wife Jane with whom he had 6 sons and 4 daughters. He is buried in East Woodhay in Hampshire.
