Helmet Badge 1766



The badge of the Royal Crest and Garter was worn on the front of the helmets of the 15th after they were made Royal in May 1766. This badge also incorporates the regimental guidons, captured enemy cannons and flags, and a scroll with the motto MEREBIMUR.
