Sahagun



A painting by J P Beadle of the 15th Hussars charging across a snowy field, about to clash with the stationary French cavalry. As they charged they shouted "Emsdorf and Victory". The 1st Provisional Chasseurs a Cheval were in the front ranks of the French while the 8th Dragoons were in the rear. The central figure of the painting , on a chestnut horse is an officer. Beyond him, on a grey horse is a trumpeter who has a red pelisse and blue busby bag, reverse colours of the other men.
