| This painting of Lt-Col Kenyon-Stow with his trumpeter is thought to be by Major Matthews, completed in 1886. He retired from his post as CO of the 5th Dragoon Guards when he was promoted to full colonel on 19th Dec 1887. He reached the rank of major-general. |
