Ear Boss and Stirrup Slides c1890

The larger round item is an ear boss worn on the officer's bridle at the side of the horse's head. The stirrup slides appeared on the leather straps just above the stirrup. They are gilt with silver badges. The words PRINCESS ROYALS are inscribed on the circle with VII D G in the middle. A wreath of oak leaves surrounds the circle and Victoria's Imperial Crown is at the top.
