Trumpet-Major, Undress 1886

This Warrant Officer 2nd Class, the most senior trumpeter in the regiment, is wearing a scarlet stable jacket with black velvet facings and edged in gold lace and Russia braid. He has four inverted gold chevrons on his right fore-arm with an embroidered crossed trumpet badge above. The Russia braid traces the top edge of the cuff and forms a trefoil at the point. On the shoulders are twisted gold cords with small buttons. His medal ribbons are for the Egypt campaign of 1882.
