Drumhorse c1910

The question of the colour of the drum banners is not fully resolved in this illustration. They could be black because they appear darker than the blue shabraque which is now worn on the horse. The coronet on the Royal Arms is worked in gold wire and crimson cushions as is the title scroll at the base of the banner. The bridle now has a black throat plume and the reins are attached to the drummer's stirrups. The drummer has no pouchbelt. On his left shoulder are yellow cord aiguillettes and he has a crossed trumpet badge on his sleeve. The helmet plume is all black.
