Trumpeters 1900


The mounted trumpeter is in marching order which is nearly full dress but he has an ammunition pouch-belt over his shoulder and shoes strapped to the front of his saddle. The young trumpeter standing beside him is in drill order with a red pill-box cap with yellow lace and braid. His uniform is the blue patrol jacket but with twisted gold shoulder cords. He has badges on his collar. His trumpet is hanging from a red and yellow cord which has a tassel. The mounted man is holding a bugle and has a trumpet slung on his back.
