Lieutenant-General Sir Roderick Alexander Cordy-Simpson KBE CB




Roddy Cordy-Simpson is a retired army general who was Chief of Staff of the United Nations Protection Force in Bosnia in 1992, GOC 1st UK Armoured Division in 1994 and Deputy Force Commander Ops for the Stabilisation Force (SFOR) in Dec 1996. He was Lieutenant of the Tower of London from 2001 to 2004 and is Deputy Lieutenant of Wiltshire, living in Bishopstrow.

He was born in 1944, educated at Radley College and joined the 13th/18th Hussars in Feb 1966. He is married to Virginia and has 2 children, Zoe and Angus. He was awarded the CB in June 1993 and knighted KBE in Jan 1998.
