A Saladin Armoured car patrols the streets of Crater, or Aden. The regiment had trained to use these vehicles in the 6 months prior to going out to Aden. Ferret scout cars were also used. The road surfaces were extremely hot and the vehicles were in constant use so that the tyres had to be changed weekly.
