Officer's Shabraque, 1960

This shabraque is significant becuase it dates before the amalgamation of the Blues and Royals. The honours are the same as the ones on the pre-World War I version with the exception of a solitary scroll on the top of the shabraque for France and Flanders 1914-1918). This is the only battle honour to mark the endeavours of the Royal Horse Guards in two world wars. This is the last time that the shabraque repeats the honours in all four corners.
