Sabretache 1816

There is no difference between this pattern and the one worn by the Life Guards during this period except for the colour of the velvet ground, red for the blues and blue for the Life Guards. This example has been altered to accomodate the battle honours. Two faint marks either side of the crown show where it has been removed and shifted up so that the scrolls for Waterloo and Peninsula could be placed between the crown and the garter star.
