After 1859 only one guidon was used by dragoon regiments. This crimson silk guidon is post 1882, the year that the battle honours BLENHEIM OUDENARDE RAMILLIES and MALPLAQUET were awarded to the Greys (13 March) and DETTINGEN was awarded on 11 September. The guidon measures 3ft 6ins by 2ft 2ins. It was sold at action by Christies on 11 June 1992 with an estimated price of 1,400 to 2,000 pounds.
