Map of Route Taken in 1934

The regiment rode out of Redford Barracks, Edinburgh and headed west to The Binns, the ancestoral home of the Dalyells. From there they rode via Keir Park at Dunblane, Crieff and Glenalmond to Dunkeld, then on to Blair Atholl and Mar Lodge. From there they had a nasty 23-mile ride over the Cairngorms to Moy Hall. They then went for a civic reception and rest day in Inverness. They headed east to Nairn and around to Aberdeen on the east coast where there was another civic reception and rest day. Then south to Laurencekirk and Forfar. Further south to Dundee then east to Perth. The final leg was via Stirling, Falkirk and back to Edinburgh.
