Minorca 1771


This contemporary painting of British soldiers in Minorca was painted in 1771 at the time of the General Inspection by the Governor of the island.' The men are from different regiments, mostly the 25th Foot but the third grenadier from the left is of the 13th Foot. He is discussed in the Uniforms section.
